The System Administrator plays a key role in maintaining and improving the stability, security, and performance of client systems, with a focus on Microsoft Azure and enterprise infrastructure. This position requires solid technical experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to managing cloud and on-premises environments. You’ll support daily operations, lead mid-size technical initiatives, and collaborate with senior administrators to ensure systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs.
Job Responsibility:
Administer and optimize Microsoft Azure environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
Manage and support Active Directory, Azure AD, group policies, and multifactor authentication
Monitor and maintain system performance, capacity, and availability
Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance standards (HIPAA, etc.)
Perform routine maintenance, patching, and updates across environments
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, escalating when necessary
Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, etc.) to improve efficiency
Assist in planning and deploying infrastructure projects and upgrades
Maintain accurate documentation, change management logs, and runbooks
Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 technical support for escalated incidents
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT operations with organizational goals
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3–5 years of experience in system administration or IT infrastructure management
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Windows Server environments
Solid understanding of identity management, authentication, and access controls
Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell preferred)
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and backup solutions
Working knowledge of networking, firewalls, and security principles
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and time management skills
Nice to have:
Experience with ITIL or similar operational frameworks
Knowledge of configuration management and monitoring tools
Experience with SIEM systems or security monitoring (e.g., Splunk, Sumo Logic)
Exposure to healthcare IT or compliance environments (HIPAA, SOC 2)
