As a Linux System Administrator on our project, you’ll constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies. You’ll recommend technologies and approaches to improve platform security, stability, reliability and comply with security controls. You'll recommend improvements and architecture changes to dramatically improve speed and performance. You’ll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. You’ll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. Job Responsibility:
Help design, deploy, and maintain Cross Domain Solutions for an enterprise environment
Constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies
Recommend technologies and approaches to improve platform security, stability, reliability and comply with security controls
Recommend improvements and architecture changes to dramatically improve speed and performance
Provide customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management
Identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network
Help the team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning
Share expertise through leadership and mentoring
Identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help customers meet their needs
Requirements:
3+ years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOS
Experience with GIT
Experience managing virtual machines and VMware ESXi
Knowledge of Linux firewalls, Linux RPMs, networking configuration, and DNS
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Bachelor’s degree in a CS or IT field and 5+ years of experience with systems or network administration, or 10+ years of experience with systems or network administration in lieu of a degree
Ability to obtain DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II Compliant Certification within 60 days of start date
Nice to have:
Experience with AWS
Experience managing systems using Infrastructure as Code technologies, including Salt, Ansible, Puppet, PowerShell, Chef or Terraform
Experience with Python
Experience with Apache NiFi or NiagraFiles
Knowledge of bi-directional network transfer systems
DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II Compliant Certification
