Job Description

Provides comprehensive support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. This role is responsible for managing IT system infrastructure and associated processes, ensuring reliable day-to-day operations across client, server, storage, network, and mobile environments. The position supports Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) activities, system optimization, and secure system operations, with a strong emphasis on Linux administration, Security Technical Enforcement (STE), and System Security Plan (SSP) compliance, including vulnerability (CVE) response.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
  • Manage daily configuration, operation, monitoring, and problem resolution for IT infrastructure, including client/server, storage, network, and mobile devices
  • Perform Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
  • Assist users with accessing and effectively using IT systems
  • Escalate issues as required and communicate system status, analysis, and resolution updates to agency management and internal customers
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback for escalated trouble tickets
  • Support dispatch systems and resolve associated hardware and software issues through to completion
  • Configure, manage, and maintain UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems, including OS installation, patching, troubleshooting, and performance tuning

Requirements

  • Fifteen (15) years of experience as a System Administrator (SA) on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required
  • five (5) additional years of SA experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I or higher
  • Extremely proficient in Linux system administration
  • Strong understanding of and experience implementing and managing all aspects of Security Technical Enforcement (STE)
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants
