Job Description

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a System Administrator 3 to support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems across complex enterprise environments. This role focuses on sustaining mission-critical infrastructure, leading advanced troubleshooting efforts, and supporting high-performance computing (HPC) environments. The ideal candidate will manage complex systems, optimize performance, and support infrastructure leveraging high-speed networks and advanced storage technologies.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for IT systems
  • Perform advanced Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
  • Manage system operations, including monitoring, maintenance, and optimization
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Linux operating systems across enterprise environments
  • Support HPC infrastructure, including high-speed networking (InfiniBand, Slingshot)
  • Administer and troubleshoot storage solutions, including Lustre file systems and DDN Exascaler appliances
  • Support TCP/IP networking and storage fabric environments
  • Utilize automation and configuration tools (Salt, Ansible) to improve efficiency
  • Maintain and enhance system monitoring and alerting (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and provide technical guidance for complex system issues
