Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a System Administrator 3 to support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems across complex enterprise environments. This role focuses on sustaining mission-critical infrastructure, leading advanced troubleshooting efforts, and supporting high-performance computing (HPC) environments. The ideal candidate will manage complex systems, optimize performance, and support infrastructure leveraging high-speed networks and advanced storage technologies.
Job Responsibility
Provide implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for IT systems
Perform advanced Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
Manage system operations, including monitoring, maintenance, and optimization
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Linux operating systems across enterprise environments
Support HPC infrastructure, including high-speed networking (InfiniBand, Slingshot)
Administer and troubleshoot storage solutions, including Lustre file systems and DDN Exascaler appliances
Support TCP/IP networking and storage fabric environments
Utilize automation and configuration tools (Salt, Ansible) to improve efficiency
Maintain and enhance system monitoring and alerting (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana)
Lead troubleshooting efforts and provide technical guidance for complex system issues
Requirements
U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants
DOD 8570 IAT Level II Certification
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (5 additional years of experience may substitute)
Minimum 10 years of experience as a System Administrator in similar environments
Advanced experience with Linux systems, HPC environments, and networking (including storage fabrics)
Experience with automation, monitoring, and performance tools (e.g., Ansible, Salt, Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana)
Active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
