Job Description:

The Syrup Preparation & Water Treatment Lead is responsible for overseeing syrup preparation operations and managing water treatment processes to ensure product quality, safety, and compliance with food safety standards. This role leads daily operations, supervises staff, maintains equipment, and ensures adherence to quality, hygiene, and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and supervise syrup preparation activities according to approved formulations and SOPs
  • Ensure accurate weighing, mixing, heating, and filtration of ingredients
  • Monitor syrup quality parameters such as Brix, pH, color, and clarity
  • Maintain batch records, production logs, and traceability documentation
  • Ensure proper cleaning, sanitation, and CIP of syrup tanks and pipelines
  • Coordinate with QA and production teams to meet production schedules
  • Oversee water treatment operations (RO, sand filters, carbon filters, softeners, UV/ozone systems, etc.)
  • Monitor water quality parameters to meet food-grade and regulatory standards
  • Ensure regular testing, calibration, and maintenance of water treatment equipment
  • Maintain water treatment logs, test records, and compliance documentation
  • Troubleshoot water quality or system performance issues
  • Train, guide, and supervise operators and technicians
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO, FSSC, and local food safety regulations
  • Enforce safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards
  • Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in food technology, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • 3–6 years of experience in syrup preparation and/or water treatment in FMCG or beverage manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and quality systems
  • Experience with water treatment systems and laboratory testing
  • Good leadership, communication, and documentation skills
