Within this pivotal area, Synthetic Prime Finance provides clients with efficient, flexible access to market exposure through advanced delta one products and portfolio swaps, underpinning sophisticated hedge fund strategies across diverse asset classes. We are seeking an experienced Product Developer to join our team, focusing on Synthetic Prime Finance. This strategic role is critical for leading large-scale initiatives that champion client needs and business growth. The successful candidate will drive the continuous improvement of our Synthetic Prime Finance platform and client experience by defining, managing, and delivering enhancements to our product range and underlying infrastructure, demonstrating strong leadership and a comprehensive understanding of the evolving market landscape.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the strategic development and enhancement of Synthetic Prime Finance products and infrastructure, driving the end-to-end product lifecycle from conceptualization to market delivery
  • Define and articulate detailed business requirements (BRDs), create comprehensive project plans, and oversee the execution of global initiatives with a sharp focus on client needs and prevailing market trends
  • Collaborate extensively with sales, business managers, and technology teams to align product strategy with long-term business vision and integrate innovative solutions across the platform
  • Manage a book of work, ensuring efficient delivery, resource allocation, and prioritization of key strategic initiatives
  • Represent Citi in client engagements, actively gathering feedback and insights to champion continuous improvement in both the platform's capabilities and the overall client experience
  • Assess business priorities, identify strategic opportunities for growth and efficiency, and effectively communicate development plans, deliverables, and potential issues to all relevant stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in Prime Finance or Equity Finance, with a deep understanding of synthetic products such as portfolio swaps, hedge fund strategies across asset classes (equities, fixed income, derivatives), and market structure
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering large-scale change initiatives and complex product development projects within a dynamic financial services environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, for effective stakeholder management, client engagement, and presenting strategic visions across all levels, including senior leadership
  • Strong analytical capabilities combined with a structured approach to problem-solving, strategic thinking, and the ability to define an end-state vision for complex financial platforms and products
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead virtual project teams within a matrix organizational structure, fostering collaboration and driving consensus among diverse groups of stakeholders
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, providing a solid foundation in financial markets and technology principles
