Job Description:

Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria is looking for a Pool Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain public swimming pools, water systems, filter systems, pumps, and playground equipment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain public swimming pools, water systems, filter systems, pumps, and playground equipment
  • Schedules, assigns, monitors, reviews, and evaluates the work of assigned staff
  • Maintain the proper chemical balance for the pool
  • Maintains the pH and Chlorine values for good water quality
  • Implement the 10/5 Rule at all times during work hours
  • The ability to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures
  • The ability to provide service under the supervision of the shift engineer, and repairs as outlined in the Technical Skills List, for plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC, and refrigeration
  • The ability to provide piping and plumbing repairs and maintenance to water heaters, domestic and HVAC water systems, plumbing fixtures, pumping systems, kitchen and laundry systems and associated equipment throughout the entire building
  • The ability to install piping for renovations, plumbing fixture additions, water distribution and associated systems, utilizing torches, welders, pipe threading equipment etc
  • The ability to assist in providing preventative maintenance of all plumbing equipment and updating of appropriate logs
  • The ability to clean all stations in Engineering and maintain a neat and organized department
  • The ability to respond to all guest complaints regarding the maintenance of their room or public area in a timely manner
  • The ability to perform preventative maintenance in guestrooms and public areas
  • The ability to manage and repair all plumbing stoppages in the building

Requirements:

  • Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language is highly desirable
  • Two years of Technical trade school or previous similar work experience with extensive plumbing experience
  • High School graduate
