We’re looking for a Sales and Experience Manager who is energized by teamwork, motivated by improvement, and passionate about creating WOW! moments for families and staff alike. As the Swim School Operations Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of our swimming operations. Your leadership is key to the Goldfish Swim School community experience. Reporting to the General Manager, this role combines training, organization, and leadership. You’ll also serve as Manager on Duty during a portion of your shifts. This is a key-carrying position and you may be responsible for opening and closing the building independently.

  • Leading the Lifeguard and Swim Instructor training programs
  • Ensuring highest standards of safety and service
  • Lead and coordinate the activities of Swim School Operations Coordinators, Deck Supervisors, and Lifeguards to ensure effective operations
  • Conduct quarterly reviews on all team members
  • Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment with school objectives
  • Oversee the Lifeguard Program, including planning and conducting internal lifeguard reviews and audits
  • Schedule and instruct lifeguard classes and maintain accurate records of certifications and training
  • Conduct equipment audits
  • Ensure the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the facility are upheld to the highest standards
  • Obtain CPO Certification and assist in pool maintenance tasks as directed by the Aquatics Facility Operator
  • Conduct lesson level occupancy analysis to optimize class schedules and resource allocation

Requirements

  • Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Instructor Certification required (Training provided if not currently certified)
  • All certifications must be kept current in accordance with renewal standards
  • Flexible availability is required, including weekdays, evenings and weekend shifts to accommodate for the business need
  • This is a full-time position (30+ hrs/week)

  • Improves efficiencies by merging classes, closing classes and creating new classes as needed
  • Audits the Visual Scheduler to assure all classes have been properly created, class sizes are appropriate and class costs are correct
  • Provides leadership, discipline and constructive feedback to Deck Supervisors, Instructors and Deck Teachers to ensure quality delivery of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum
  • Conducts periodic evaluations of Deck Supervisors, Instructors and Deck Teachers and holds them to a higher standard
  • Interacts with parents/guardians to discuss student progress
  • Acts as a GSS “ambassador” to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Conducts weekly audits of the Deck Supervisor Rosters, Deck Supervisor Notes, Training Logs, Pump Room Checklist, Cleaning Checklist and Visual Scheduler
