Job Responsibility:
Provides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum
Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents
Evaluates students’ progress and completes required documentation in a timely manner
Interacts professionally with parents/guardians after each swim lesson on the activities and development of students’ swim skills
Uses problem-solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter
Assists with setting up the pool prior to lessons and cleaning up after lessons, including proper storage of all pool equipment and lane lines
Attend required/mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours
Requirements:
No experience is necessary
Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider is a plus
Weekend availability required
Ability to work with children
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Must pass background examinations (included with training)
High School Diploma/GED required, Some College preferred
Nice to have:
Experience as a certified lifeguard
Experience as a youth sports instructor/coach
Experience as a camp counselor
Experience as a childcare provider
