Swim Instructor

• Provides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum
• Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents
• Evaluates students’ progress and completes required documentation in a timely manner
• Interacts professionally with parents/guardians after each swim lesson on the activities and development of students’ swim skills
• Uses problem-solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter
• Assists with setting up the pool prior to lessons and cleaning up after lessons, including proper storage of all pool equipment and lane lines
• Attend required/mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours

• No experience is necessary
• Ability to work with children
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
• High School Diploma/GED required, Some College preferred
• Must pass background examinations
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications are obtainable by employees in the future
• Certification courses in our facility, which all employees are required to complete within 3 months of employment

Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider is a plus
