At Goldfish Swim Schools, being a swim instructor means more than just teaching strokes – it's about making a splash in every child's swimming journey. Goldfish Swim School is a learn-to-swim facility for kids ages 4 months to 12 years. Our proven confidence-building curriculum promotes a love of swimming and teaches children to be safer in and around the water.
Job Responsibility:
Provides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum
Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents
Evaluates students’ progress and completes required documentation in a timely manner
Interacts professionally with parents/guardians after each swim lesson on the activities and development of students’ swim skills
Uses problem-solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter
Assists with setting up the pool prior to lessons and cleaning up after lessons, including proper storage of all pool equipment and lane lines
Attend required/mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours
Requirements:
No experience is necessary
Ability to work with children
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
High School Diploma/GED required, Some College preferred
Must pass background examinations
Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications are obtainable by employees in the future
Certification courses in our facility, which all employees are required to complete within 3 months of employment
Nice to have:
Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider is a plus
