Eagerness to obtain a Lifeguard certification and a desire to grow
Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports coach, camp counselor, or childcare provider, or similar
Comfortable and confident in the water - swimming experience strongly preferred
A natural communicator who connects easily with kids and puts parents at ease
Detail-oriented with the ability to track multiple students' progress accurately
Must be available for evening and weekend shifts

Job Responsibility

Deliver swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum with consistency, energy, and a focus on student growth
Enforce safety rules and regulations on the pool deck daily to prevent accidents and maintain a secure environment
Accurately evaluate student progress and complete skill evaluations on time
Connect with parents and guardians after lessons to share student updates, celebrate wins, and address concerns with care
Use creative problem-solving to help students work through challenges and keep progressing
Maintain and properly store all pool equipment, including placing and removing lane lines
Assist with light cleaning duties such as deck mopping, window washing, and trash removal as needed
