Job Description

We are currently hiring multiple energetic Swim Instructors who have a passion for kids and the water.

Job Responsibility

  • Making a difference in children's lives by teaching them life skills including swimming, diving, floating, treading water, and even how to be brave, building confidence, and celebrating each small success
  • Being fun and positive at all times- even when life is hard for us, our students deserve our sunniest selves
  • Providing continuous feedback to students and parents weekly after lessons
  • Ensuring swimmer safety during class and encouraging students to follow the 'Golden Safety Rules'
  • Once per month required to attend paid in-service & training outside of regular working hours
  • Lifeguard duties (all teachers are also lifeguard certified)

Requirements

  • Previous swim instruction or swim coach experience preferred for teaching position, but not required
  • Experience working with children
  • Relate well to children, parents, team members, and have great communication skills
  • Must have or obtain AED/CPR/First Aid certifications as a condition of employment within 90 days
  • Shallow Water Lifeguard certification - Ellis preferred, Red Cross accepted
  • Required to attend monthly trainings to keep up with certifications

  • Prior swim experience is not necessary, but a willingness to learn and have FUN is a must
