Job Description

Swim Instructors and Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the success of swim lessons. The role involves teaching, lifeguarding, and communicating with parents. The position is part of a team passionate about building confident swimmers and changing lives through water safety education.

Job Responsibility

  • Teaching 4 swimmers per class (6 in infant/parent-and-me lessons) through a curriculum of water safety, swim, and swimplay skills
  • Communicating progress and celebrating accomplishments with parents/caregivers
  • Lifeguarding and supervising lessons as needed

Requirements

  • Passion for helping others
  • Fin-tastic personality
  • Shallow-water ELLIS Lifeguard Certification (offered throughout the year)

Nice to have

  • Experience in aquatics, education, childcare, customer service, or a similar field
  • Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider
  • Swim instructor experience
