Job Description:

We offer part-time hours, a set weekly schedule and a growth track in place to build your leadership skills and achievements. You can grow with Goldfish even if this is your after school or second job.

Job Responsibility:

Ensuring the success of swim lessons
Preparing class materials and reviewing lesson themes
Teaching 4 swimmers per class (6 in infant/parent-and-me lessons) through a curriculum of water safety, swim and swimplay skills
Communicating progress and celebrating accomplishments with parents and caregivers
Lifeguarding and supervising lessons as requested or needed
Guiding new swimmers through their first days and supporting their progress

Requirements:

Ability to swim
Availability for set groups of swim lessons (4:00-8:00 Monday through Friday, 8:30-3:00pm on Saturday, 8:30-3:00pm on Sunday)
Ability to arrive 15 minutes before swim lessons start
Ability to work the same scheduled days every week
Patience & genuine personality
Customer service skills
Ability to do quality work and represent the school's mission
Doing the right things, making the right decisions and treating people with integrity, compassion and trust

Nice to have:

Experience as a swim instructor or lifeguard
Experience as a Child Care Worker, Camp Counselor, Babysitter, Nanny, Elementary Education or Teachers Aide, Pool Operator or Swimmer, Coach or Fitness Instructor, Stay-at-Home Parent, Server, Part-time nurse
