Job Responsibility:
Ensuring success of swim lessons by preparing class materials and reviewing lesson themes
Teaching 4 swimmers per class (6 in infant/parent-and-me lessons) through a curriculum of water safety, swim and swimplay skills
Teaching consecutive 30-minute lessons for a 4-hour shift
Communicating progress and celebrating accomplishments with parents and caregivers
Lifeguarding and supervising lessons as requested or needed
Guiding new swimmers through their first days and supporting their progress
Requirements:
Must know how to swim
Availability for set groups of lessons (4:00-8:00 Monday through Friday, 8:30-3:30 on Saturday, 8:30-3:30 on Sunday)
Ability to arrive 10 minutes before swim lessons start
Ability to work the same part-time scheduled days every week
Must be patient & genuine
Must have communication skills to work with children, parents, and team members
Ability to do quality work and represent the school's mission
