Job Description:

Our swimmers are not only diving into great lessons, our employees are also diving into great opportunities! We offer part-time hours, a set weekly schedule and a growth track in place to build your skills and achievements. You can grow with Goldfish even if this is your after school or second job.

Job Responsibility:

Ensuring you and your team are set up for success at every lesson by preparing class materials and reviewing lesson themes
Teaching 4 swimmers per class (6 in infant, parent-and-me lessons) through a curriculum of water safety, swim and swimplay skills
Communicating progress and celebrating accomplishments with parents and caregivers at the end of class
Lifeguarding and supervising lessons as requested or needed
Guiding new swimmers through their first days and supporting them as they progress

Requirements:

Availability for set groups of lessons (no half-shifts or mid-shifts available)
Ability to work the same part-time scheduled days every week
Must be patient & genuine
Must have communication skills to work with children, parents, and team members
Ability to do quality work and represent Goldfish Swim School’s mission
Doing the right things, making the right decisions and treating people with integrity, compassion and trust
Must know how to swim

Nice to have:

Prior experience as a swim instructor/lifeguard and/or working with kids
Prior experience as a Child Care Worker, Camp Counselor, Babysitter or Nanny, Elementary Education or Teachers Aide, Lifeguard or swimmer, Coach or Fitness Instructor, Stay-at-Home Parent, After School Program Staff
