The Head Swim Coach is responsible for the overall leadership, development, and administration of the University Club’s swim program. This position provides strategic direction, on-deck coaching, and operational oversight to ensure a high-quality, competitive, and member-focused aquatics experience.
Job Responsibility:
Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive swim training programs for all skill levels
provide on-deck instruction, evaluate athlete performance, and foster a culture of sportsmanship, discipline, and competitive excellence
Manage team scheduling, meet coordination, parent/member communication, and budget oversight
ensure compliance with all safety regulations, governing body standards, and Club policies while maintaining a safe and positive aquatics environment
Requirements:
Two years of proven experience in competitive swim coaching, preferably with age group or club-level swimmers
Current lifeguard certification
Lifeguard Instructor or Pool Operator certification preferred
CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Nice to have:
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Strong knowledge of aquatic safety standards and risk management
Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
