Job Description

Heitman is seeking a Head of Transformation and Product Management to oversee the execution of their 3-year business applications, data and AI transformation roadmap and to help the CIO drive innovation across the organization. This role will manage the Digital Transformation Product Management Team and the Engineering Team. The ideal candidate is a proven digital transformation leader with deep real estate private equity investment management expertise and experience across enterprise applications, data architecture, advanced analytics, AI/ML integration, and intelligent automation.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee the product vision and strategic development process for the Digital Transformation Initiatives including integrating product roadmaps and aligning development workstreams
  • Leverage knowledge of real estate private equity investment management to inform business application decisions and drive innovation
  • Build out and lead a team of product managers, data architects, engineers and AI specialists
  • Deeply understand the business case for proposed products and initiatives including cost/benefit estimates, market trends, industry best practices, and product development timelines
  • Present and defend the business case (financial/ROI) analysis to CIO & CTOO to quantify and determine the value to the company of a current or potentially new system/application
  • Oversee the engineering and product management teams to ensure consistent execution of product plans following agile software development methodology and processes that result in product delivery on time and in budget
  • Mentor Product Managers and Engineering staff to accomplish results and/or provide training

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in the real estate private equity investment management industry
  • 12+ years of experience leading digital transformation efforts
  • Broad experience synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data to drive decisions for building best in class digital products
  • Broad experience with AI including Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Machine Learning models
  • Strong diplomatic and consensus building skills
  • Relevant experience working with 3rd party vendors to deliver results
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle development
  • Demonstrated knowledge of digital channels and platforms (e.g., web, mobile, client PC, partner products, social, video)
  • Broad understanding of usability and user experience best practices
  • Required knowledge and skills would typically be acquired through a Master’s Degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent in experience)

  • Experience implementing and integrating with leading Investment & Asset Management systems like DealCloud, DealPath, Juniper Square, Chatham, Yardi, Proda, Cherre, Argus, etc.
  • Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence and Analytics experience
  • Experience implementing Intelligent Automation and Workflow Management solutions
