Job Description

We are looking for an SVP, Division Head for Girls Apparel/Accessories Brands with a top company in NYC. Company has many brands/licensed product and offers a large corporate environment but with much support and opportunity for long term home. Person will be overseeing Design, Merchant & Sales….needs to have strong Sales | Merch and some design. The Senior Vice President (SVP) / Division Head is responsible for the strategic leadership and full P&L management of . This executive will drive the growth, brand equity, and profitability of the division, overseeing all facets of the business including product design, merchandising, sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain.

Job Responsibility

  • Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the brand, in alignment with overall goals and positioning
  • Build and protect brand equity while identifying new growth opportunities in core and adjacent product categories
  • Champion innovation in design, merchandising, and go-to-market strategies to maintain competitiveness in both U.S. and international markets
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure product strategies are consumer-centric, trend-relevant, and aligned with margin goals
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle—from concept to delivery—ensuring seasonal assortments meet consumer demand, retail partner needs, and financial targets
  • Collaborate with the design, merchandising, and sales teams to create product lines that reflect market trends and brand DNA
  • Guide merchandising plans that are commercially viable, trend-forward, and differentiated in the marketplace
  • Partner with sales leadership to develop go-to-market strategies and drive top-line revenue across wholesale, e-commerce, and other retail channels
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key retail partners and identify new distribution opportunities to expand market reach
  • Monitor sales performance and lead initiatives to optimize sell-through and minimize excess inventory
  • Oversee demand planning, sourcing, and production operations to ensure timely delivery, quality standards, and cost efficiency
  • Collaborate with global supply chain and vendor management teams to mitigate risk and improve sourcing agility
  • Drive operational improvements and scalability through process optimization and technology
  • Own full P&L responsibility for the division, ensuring revenue growth, margin expansion, and profitability targets are met
  • Partner with finance to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans that align with strategic goals

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in apparel, accessories, or consumer products, with a proven track record of leading a brand or division
  • Strong background in product development, merchandising, and brand management
  • Demonstrated success managing full P&L and scaling a business through innovation and operational excellence
  • Deep understanding of the retail landscape (department stores, off-price, e-commerce, and specialty retailers)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed organization
