Job Description:

SVP role in Global Trade Solutions Transaction Risk Management at HSBC, responsible for managing credit risk, providing guidance on facility structure and policy, overseeing the GTS portfolio, and ensuring operational risk control in trade finance operations.

Job Responsibility:

Assisting key stakeholders in achieving CIB strategy and objectives
Apply knowledge and experience in providing practical proposals/recommendations to credit and operational situations
Provide support and guidance to Key Stakeholders on facility structure, policy and procedure
Assist in the oversight of the GTS portfolio
Ensuring the maintenance of a stable lending portfolio within policy objectives
Manage and support proposals that control operational risk
Reviewing and advising on policy, product and operational changes
Review and approve requests for exceptions to product guidelines
Contribute to the identification of areas for improvement
Continually reassess the operational risks associated with the business

Requirements:

Understanding of Trade and/or RF Products
Understanding of Financial Analysis and the Working Capital Cycle
DipFS, CITA, UK Finance Qualifications, appropriate Banking Qualifications
Knowledge of HSBC Group and its product ranges
Knowledge of compliance (FCC / Regulatory Compliance) requirements
Proven oral and written communication and influencing skills
Good business acumen / commercial awareness
Complex analytical reasoning
Ability to Present information on a one to one basis and to a group
Ability to interact with colleagues at all levels
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
