Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Vice President, Southeast Region Customer and Broker Engagement Leader. The Regional Customer & Broker Engagement Leader is responsible for guiding and facilitating the regional growth strategy for Berkshire Hathaway Specialty across product lines, and for developing worthwhile business opportunities through active engagement with brokers and customers. This is an important leadership role with responsibility to the product leaders and teams, leading the effort to enhance BHSI profile, driving market strategies to deepen and expand our broker and customer relationships and maximizing opportunities across our businesses. This person works in close collaboration with the product leaders and teams in New York, Boston, Atlanta and future locations.
Job Responsibility
Lead regional visibility and engagement strategy for key cities in the southeastern region, on behalf of all product teams
Coordinate and prioritize target account and customer relationship growth strategies with the team
Facilitate introductions and generate qualified new business opportunities with target customers
Lead customer relationships for key accounts in the southeast region
Lead execution of regional broker communication strategy, reflecting a strong understanding of BHSI products, capabilities, risk appetite and competitive differentiators
Gather and provide our team useful intelligence about broker portfolios, key accounts and influencers including client executives, industry specialists, and producers
Track and assess regional broker performance, supporting underwriting teams with relevant broker data (KPI’s, broker portfolio information)
Requirements
20+ years of commercial insurance industry experience including but not limited to customer relationship management, technical (underwriting, claims, broking, or risk management) experience with an accomplished track record for execution and productivity
Tangible portfolio of meaningful customer and broker relationships
Highly refined collaboration and influence leadership skills useful for both internal teammate and external customer and broker relationships
Excellent communication skills
Well balanced strategic planning and tactical execution as a team player and individual contributor
Broad analytical skills, particularly in collecting, developing and monitoring performance
65% travel requirement for customer and broker engagement within the region
C&BE regional leader must be based in BHSI’s Atlanta, GA office
