Job Description:

Citi Equities Technology organization is looking for a senior, experienced technology lead to join the APAC Equities Electronic Trading team to help take our platforms to the next level. The successful candidate will be responsible for the leading the design, development and successful delivery of Citi’s next gen low latency exchange connectivity and DMA platforms in the APAC region.

Job Responsibility:

Ownership of the design, development and support of the low latency trade execution platform
Partner with traders and clients on product development and improving application resiliency and latency
Continuous maintenance & improvements of the testing frameworks, development tools and environments
Drive a shift-left strategy of the teams SDLC process
Contribute towards Agile and Continuous Integration processes
People management and mentoring for a regionally distributed team
Ownership over the planning, management and reporting of the regional book of work

Requirements:

14+ years of experience in IT
minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in the Financial Service Industry with strong technical knowledge and expertise in core java
Experience with FIX and binary protocols for exchange connectivity
Experience in using low latency software design and mechanical sympathy techniques to yield low latency, high throughput trading platforms
Previous experience in developing automated trading platforms
Experienced with microservices based architectures
Strong understanding of automated testing techniques
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration processes
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, set goals and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills with a demonstrable ability to present & grasp complex concepts in a multicultural environment
Experience in managing distributed teams of 5-10 people
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
