Job Description

AtScale is the semantic layer for modern data and AI. We bridge the gap between complex cloud data platforms—such as Snowflake, Databricks, and Google BigQuery—and the business users who need consistent, AI-ready analytics. Following recent strategic equity financing, we are seeking a Sustaining Engineer to deliver technical support to customers, build troubleshooting tools and automation, and drive ongoing product improvements.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver technical support to customers
  • Build troubleshooting tools and automation
  • Drive ongoing product improvements
  • Ensure reliability & performance: maintain the accuracy of business-defined data models that power critical BI and AI applications
  • Drive product longevity: turn customer feedback into actionable, high-impact code improvements to reduce total cost of ownership
  • Bridge technical gaps: act as a critical escalation point for Support and Field teams to resolve complex software defects and performance bottlenecks

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with MDX, SQL, OLAP data modeling, and designing SSAS Multi-Dimensional models
  • Experience with Linux and Kubernetes environments, system-level troubleshooting, and modern programming languages like Python, Go, Java, or .NET
  • Experience developing reporting in support of: Excel, Power BI, Tableau
  • Based in or able to work East Coast (ET) hours
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, adaptable environments
  • Quality-focused
  • Curious about using AI and automation to improve troubleshooting efficiency
  • Experience integrating AI agents or LLM-based clients with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to enable secure, governed access to enterprise data and services

  • Document all work clearly, including technical changes and re-testing results, to maintain high-quality production standards
