Job Description:

The Sustainability Strategy Analyst is part of Citi's Sustainability & ESG team, which is responsible for the development and execution of Citi's sustainability strategy, Net Zero Plan, $1 Trillion Sustainable Finance Goal and related key initiatives. The team manages environmental, climate change, human rights and other stakeholder and business issues in partnership with Citi's businesses, risk functions and operational teams.

Job Responsibility:

Support the planning and execution of various sustainability initiatives and projects related to team priorities such as Citi's sustainability strategy, stakeholder engagement, and corporate disclosures
Conduct research and benchmarking analyses on sustainability trends, themes, best practices, and regulatory developments
Develop presentations, talking points and other communication materials on sustainability and ESG-related topics
Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to help promote and integrate sustainability initiatives across the bank
Contribute to data due diligence processes and help monitor and track progress towards sustainability goals and objectives
Help drive employee engagement and internal communication programs and respond to stakeholder inquiries

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred)
2+ years' experience in sustainability, climate, finance, investing or related role
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong analytical, research and investigative skills, ability to evaluate and assess complex topics and creatively problem-solve
Strong program management skills, including the ability to create work plans and meet deadlines
Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint
Familiarity with sustainability regulations and industry best practices
Understanding of sustainability frameworks, principles and reporting standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, TNFD, CSRD, CSDDD, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to work well within a team, while also a self-starter with ability to work independently, in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional work ethic, ability to work under deadline and strong attention to detail
