Job Description

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking an Environmental Technical Program Manager for our Global Operations organization. This role is pivotal in our commitment to achieving the 2030 commitments of 70% absolute reduction in Scope 1, Scope 2 emissions and 42% reduction in Scope 3 carbon emissions and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across our entire value chain by 2040. The successful candidate will lead initiatives to reduce our global carbon footprint, aligning with the goals of the Paris climate accord. Responsibilities include developing and implementing zero-carbon strategies, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and tracking performance against sustainability goals across manufacturing, assembly, components suppliers, logistics, transportation and packaging. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in global operations, corporate zero-carbon emission reduction, reporting, a passion for sustainability, and the ability to drive change within a global organization. Job Responsibility

  • Establishes baseline carbon footprint across each category within global operations: manufacturing, components, raw material and supply chain, purchased goods and services, packaging and transportation
  • Leads the development the annual carbon reduction target, budget, project pipeline across global ops to achieve 2030 targets
  • Lead the digitalization of carbon emission measurement, tracking, and reporting across HPE's BUs to display carbon emissions breakdown by BU, by product and service
  • Independently structures the sustainability program to develop, execute and track carbon reduction efforts across the global operations organization
  • Applies advanced, analytical approaches towards measuring and reducing carbon footprint within each Scope 3 carbon emissions category and collaborates across internal stakeholders, leaders within manufacturing, components, planning and operations to drive actions and achieve results
  • Leads large, cross- functional project teams, providing mentoring and guidance across HPE product/service
  • Owns complex strategic projects and initiatives from planning through to execution and provides findings resulting from project execution
  • Consults with business leaders for new growth opportunities, technology innovations and zero-carbon solutions which HPE should invest in to drive results
  • Creates new frameworks for managing HPE's sustainability and environmental program

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, sustainability, environmental sciences
  • Masters or Advanced degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Sciences
  • 7+ years of full-time experience within global operations, infrastructure, design engineering within the application of sustainability, corporate zero-carbon program development, management and execution
  • Served as an SME within corporate sustainability, strategy and infrastructure design
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Extensive knowledge of and ability to manage complex financial analysis and modeling
  • Advanced team and project management skills, including project structuring and managing multiple work streams independently
  • Excellent business acumen, technical knowledge within multiple business units, and extensive knowledge in applications, technologies, and emerging industry trends
  • Comfortable with actively presenting or participating in executive management meetings and engaging with leaders across industry to represent HPE
  • Able to demonstrate a high degree of flexibility and adaptability, working across time zones
  • Strong problem-solving skills that can anticipate customer, organizational needs and creatively collaborate with stakeholders to overcome obstacles and gets it done
