We are looking for a passionate and experienced Sustainability Manager to lead and deliver our sustainability strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to shape environmental and social impact across our organisation while ensuring best-in-class reporting, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. As a key subject matter expert, you will work cross-functionally to drive sustainability initiatives, support operational teams, and ensure alignment with regulatory and client requirements.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as a sustainability expert internally and externally, driving continuous improvement of sustainability initiatives
  • Lead the development and delivery of sustainability strategies aligned with organisational goals
  • Manage and develop a direct report
  • Oversee statutory and regulatory reporting (e.g., SECR, ESOS) ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Coordinate ESG disclosures for investors, lenders, and stakeholders
  • Maintain environmental and ESG policies, ensuring they remain up to date
  • Support operational teams in achieving GHG reduction and net zero targets
  • Track, analyse and improve key environmental metrics including waste and recycling
  • Collate and analyse ESG data to inform decision-making and reporting
  • Drive colleague engagement initiatives such as the Green Team
  • Support marketing, tenders, and new business opportunities with sustainability input
  • Build strong relationships with clients, regulators, and accreditation bodies
  • Maintain and develop key accreditations including: Pledge to Net Zero
  • UN Global Compact
  • Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sustainability role within a commercial organisation
  • Strong understanding of sustainability, decarbonisation, and environmental challenges
  • Experience managing large datasets and producing reports (Excel or specialist tools)
  • Proven ability to deliver projects and meet fixed deadlines
  • Experience working with external stakeholders (clients, regulators, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Relevant qualification (e.g., IEMA, NEBOSH, or equivalent) or demonstrable experience
  • Full UK driving licence
