Marston Holdings is a leading provider of technology enabled services to both the public and private sectors. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Sustainability Manager to lead and deliver our sustainability strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to shape environmental and social impact across our organisation while ensuring best-in-class reporting, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. As a key subject matter expert, you will work cross-functionally to drive sustainability initiatives, support operational teams, and ensure alignment with regulatory and client requirements.
Job Responsibility
Act as a sustainability expert internally and externally, driving continuous improvement of sustainability initiatives
Lead the development and delivery of sustainability strategies aligned with organisational goals
Manage and develop a direct report
Oversee statutory and regulatory reporting (e.g., SECR, ESOS) ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Coordinate ESG disclosures for investors, lenders, and stakeholders
Maintain environmental and ESG policies, ensuring they remain up to date
Support operational teams in achieving GHG reduction and net zero targets
Track, analyse and improve key environmental metrics including waste and recycling
Collate and analyse ESG data to inform decision-making and reporting
Drive colleague engagement initiatives such as the Green Team
Support marketing, tenders, and new business opportunities with sustainability input
Build strong relationships with clients, regulators, and accreditation bodies
Maintain and develop key accreditations including: Pledge to Net Zero
UN Global Compact
Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
Requirements
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sustainability role within a commercial organisation
Strong understanding of sustainability, decarbonisation, and environmental challenges
Experience managing large datasets and producing reports (Excel or specialist tools)
Proven ability to deliver projects and meet fixed deadlines
Experience working with external stakeholders (clients, regulators, etc.)
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Relevant qualification (e.g., IEMA, NEBOSH, or equivalent) or demonstrable experience
Full UK driving licence
