Job Responsibility:
Develop and execute the hotel’s sustainability roadmap aligned with corporate and brand sustainability goals
Identify opportunities to reduce energy, water, and waste across hotel operations
Lead environmental initiatives such as plastic reduction, food waste management, and responsible sourcing programs
Monitor and analyze utility consumption (electricity, water, gas) and recommend efficiency improvements
Work closely with Engineering to optimize building systems and implement energy- and water-saving technologies
Establish waste segregation, recycling, and waste reduction programs throughout the property
Track sustainability KPIs and prepare monthly and annual environmental performance reports
Support ESG and corporate sustainability reporting requirements
Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations and company sustainability standards
Maintain documentation for sustainability audits and certifications (e.g., Green Key, Green Globe, ISO 14001)
Support the development and execution of the hotel’s carbon reduction strategy, including tracking Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions
Monitor environmental impact metrics such as energy use intensity, water usage per occupied room, and waste diversion rates
Collaborate with HR to support employee wellbeing, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives related to ESG goals
Participate in or support community engagement and CSR programs such as environmental clean-ups, educational outreach, or local partnerships
Ensure sustainability initiatives consider guest health, safety, and wellbeing
Support the hotel’s compliance with corporate ESG policies, codes of conduct, and ethical sourcing standards
Maintain proper documentation and internal controls for sustainability and ESG data accuracy
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Hospitality Management, or a related field
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or CSR
Prior experience in hotels, resorts, or property management is highly preferred
Experience handling ESG, sustainability reporting, or green certification programs
Strong understanding of: energy and water efficiency, waste management and recycling program, carbon footprint measurement and reduction strategies
