Job Description:

This role sits in the Sustainability Team, part of Ashurst's Operations function, reporting into the Sustainability Manager. The role is focused on delivering effective supply chain engagement, building and maintaining robust datasets, energy sourcing to accelerate the firm's decarbonisation goals, and delivering regular internal communications on our progress to support efforts to embed a culture of sustainability across the firm. This is a full-time, 12 month fixed term contract role based in our London office with hybrid working.

Requirements:

  • Are analytical and data-driven
  • Experience working with Scope 1-3 data sets and a strong ability to structure data, model KPIs, interrogate figures and translate insights into recommendations for strategy decisions
  • Have experience or interest in driving corporate sustainability initiatives across a large-scale organisation
  • Understanding of the Science-based targets initiative (SBTi) target setting process, and mandatory / non-mandatory sustainability reporting such as CDP, EcoVadis, SECR and TCFD
  • Have strong stakeholder engagement and management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong ability to communicate and collaborate across functions in a global environment
  • Flair for drafting effective and compelling documents and presentations
  • Are organised, have keen attention to detail, strong prioritisation and execution in fast-paced, detail-oriented settings
  • Are comfortable operating with autonomy to resolve issues and drive outcomes, particularly in the context of working across multiple time zones
