As Sustainability Lead for International Organizations,you will play a key role in expanding NTT DATA’s sustainability offering within EU clients, combining strong subject-matter expertise (in sustainability areas such as climate change, biodiversity, circular economy or energy efficiency) with business development and project delivery. You will contribute to the design of high-quality proposals and lead the execution of complex projects, ensuring technical excellence and real impact. You will combine business development with hands on project delivery, contributing to the preparation of high-quality proposals and ensuring successful execution of projects in our sustainability business areas. Beyond delivery, you will act as a trusted expert in sustainability topics, supporting strategic positioning, strengthening relationships with key stakeholders across EU institutions, and contributing to the development of innovative approaches aligned with EU policy priorities. Job Responsibility:
Lead business development activities for the sustainability business area, focusing on EU institutions such as DG ENV, CINEA, DG MARE and related bodies
Drive and execute the business plan aligned with NTT DATA's strategic objectives and revenue targets
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in EU institutions, leveraging existing framework contracts and exploring new opportunities
Contribute to the preparation of technical and financial proposals for EU public procurement, ensuring high quality and compliance with requirements
Coordinate with internal teams and experts to deliver project outputs and proposals
Identify new opportunities and support relationship building with key stakeholders in EU institutions
Lead project delivery end-to-end, ensuring client satisfaction and profitability while mentoring junior team members
Requirements:
Master’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, business, engineering, or similar
Minimum 8 years in EU projects, consultancy, or business development with EU institutions
Experience in preparing proposals for European Commission tenders (technical writing highly valued)
Deep knowledge of EU climate and environmental policies (Green Deal, Fit for 55, EU ETS, taxonomy, Repower EU)
Experience or exposure to project management and delivery of EU-funded projects
Strong network within EU agencies and ability to influence decision-makers
Experience in European public procurement and bid management
Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills
Knowledge or strong curiosity about digitalization trends and technological developments impacting sustainability and public sector innovation
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Spanish is a plus
