Job Responsibility:

  • Provide professional operational leadership for the coordination and delivery of the Group’s Climate Action Plan
  • Support the implementation of the Sustainability Strategy
  • Work with the leads in Student Experience to embed sustainability, climate resilience and green careers within the Pastoral curriculum and the My XP personal development model
  • Work with the Estates team to support the delivery of carbon reduction plans and the Group’s biodiversity programme
  • Work with Heads of Curriculum, Careers and Partnerships to embed sustainability and green skills across all curriculum areas
  • Engage and motivate staff and students through strong people and project skills, building ownership and enthusiasm across the organisation
  • Develop partnerships, networks and opportunities that support the Group’s sustainability journey and strengthen our collective impact

Requirements:

  • GCSE in English and Maths grade A*-C/9-4 or equivalent
  • Degree or equivalent professional experience relevant to the job role
  • Strong knowledge of climate change, decarbonisation, biodiversity and sustainability within an organisational or education context
  • Proven experience of leading projects, sustainability, environmental or climate action programmes
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate and bring others on the journey to transformational sustainability initiatives
