Job Responsibility

  • Learn and develop specific mandatory reporting projects
  • Sustainability Project Tracking
  • Mandatory Regulations related to Sustainability
  • Sustainability-related impacts, risks, and opportunities
  • Autonomously gather, compile, and analyze business needs and accurately translate them into fitness for use criteria to apply to potential software solutions
  • Deliver a proposal for tracking Sustainability projects which facilitates user acceptance, consistent reporting, and drives standardization
  • Communicate findings to various audiences of differing backgrounds from Sustainability leaders to team members
  • Develop and deploy a compelling narrative from your findings that challenges the status quo, drives impact, and causes changes in behavior
  • Thoroughly document procedures and findings to provide an execution plan for proposed solutions
  • Experience and evaluate the Owens Corning culture – Sustainability interns will be included in Science and Technology (S&T) cohort activities for a higher sense of connection with the Granville, OH S&T site

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in sustainability, business, mathematics, or related field
  • Ability to quickly learn new subjects and generate creative solutions
  • Efficient project planning, documentation, and execution skills with a process orientation
  • Strong problem solving and listening skills
  • Self-motived and eager to drive projects
  • Strong computer skills relevant for project management and analysis
  • Strong skills with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Work, PowerPoint, and Copilot
  • Strong teamwork, versatility, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to follow Owens Corning safety protocols and sage work practices
