As a Sustainability Engineer Professional, you will play a key role in embedding sustainability into impactful infrastructure, water and energy projects. If you combine a technical mindset with a genuine passion for sustainability and enjoy collaborating with diverse stakeholders, find out more.

Job Responsibility

  • Work closely with the Sustainability Manager and shape Lombardi Switzerland’s sustainability strategy and initiatives
  • Contribute to corporate sustainability topics including Lombardi Group reporting, corporate carbon footprint assessment, certification alignment, workshops and internal awareness programs
  • Support large-scale infrastructure and hydropower projects by integrating sustainability and carbon footprint assessments into engineering projects
  • Collaborate directly with clients and project teams through workshops, trainings and sustainability advisory activities
  • Opportunity to develop sustainability initiatives across both corporate operations and complex engineering projects

Requirements

  • Native German speaker with fluent English. Knowledge of French and/or Italian is an advantage
  • Academic background in environmental or civil engineering, 5+ years of professional experience
  • Experience with life-cycle assessment (LCA) of infrastructure projects and expertise in LCA methodology. Knowledge of civil engineering is a strong plus
  • Independent, positive and communicative personality with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and lead workshops and trainings
  • Engineering mindset and a strong interest in advancing sustainability in projects, thinking innovatively, and inspiring others

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of French and/or Italian
  • Knowledge of civil engineering
