The VIE will be in charge of coordinating sustainability initiatives in Singapore, liaising between team members across the three main legal entities of Airbus in Singapore. Sustainability initiatives include: carbon footprint reduction ideas, social engagement, employee awareness, local support to heads of function when necessary. The scope of the role will potentially extend to cover other APAC countries at a later date. This role will involve some travel for business once a year in Europe.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor, support and coordinate diverse sustainability initiatives from all Airbus entities in Singapore
Research and benchmark activities of other groups in Singapore and provide ideas / suggestions / best practice sharing for further engagement of employees and sustainability awareness campaigns in coordination with the APAC head of sustainability
Participate in regional coordination calls, learn from initiatives running in other countries for application in Singapore as relevant
Prepare communications related to initiatives led in Singapore and ensure relevant approvals in place
Coordinate the annual “Sustainability Week” event in Singapore, in cooperation with the team members in charge of this event at regional level and with the local Singapore teams and volunteers
Support the deployment of Airbus sustainability roadmaps in Singapore - in support to the head of functions in charge of such roadmaps. Work can include, but is not limited, to running related procurement processes, facilitating meetings etc.
Possible support to regional coordination of sustainability initiatives
Possibility to become a Climate Fresk training facilitator to accelerate the deployment of this training in Singapore
Requirements:
Holder of a bachelor's or master's degree in sustainable development or a related discipline
Passion for sustainability and willingness to share such passion with others
Project management skills
Ability to connect with colleagues beyond any hierarchy consideration
Creativity
Experience in leading waste / water / electricity / carbon reduction projects
Experience in organising events and/or coordinating teams as a plus
Fluency in English as a must, Chinese as a plus but not necessary
Compliance mindset: the employee must fully comply with Airbus Code of Conduct, including but not limited to Ethics & Compliance standards
English advanced level (C1)
European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Monaco), graduates up to and including 28 years old
Have fulfilled military obligations for their country, if any
Must be registered on the Mon Volontariat International website before the age of 28
