This position reports directly to our Director of Sustainability and will help advance Natick’s net zero and climate resiliency goals. Regular duties include: measuring and monitoring energy usage and greenhouse gas emissions; planning and supporting capital projects to electrify Natick’s municipal buildings and fleet; and assisting the community-at-large with climate action. In this dynamic role, you’ll have the satisfaction of taking projects from start to finish, and seeing the impact of your work at the local level.
Job Responsibility:
Measuring and monitoring energy usage and greenhouse gas emissions
Planning and supporting capital projects to electrify Natick’s municipal buildings and fleet
Assisting the community-at-large with climate action
Updating Natick’s 2021 Net Zero Action Plan to reflect progress and prioritize future action
Completing annual reports to meet Green Communities and Large Building Energy requirements
Drafting zoning to reduce barriers to installing EV charging stations at commercial properties
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, energy or environmental policy or other related field
Minimum of two years of professional experience in sustainability planning, energy efficiency and/or renewable energy market
Or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience
