Job Description:

If you’re a Surveyor who enjoys complex land development projects and seeing work through from concept to completion, you’ll find plenty to get stuck into at Patersons. We’re a team of land professionals known for our problem-solving mindset, genuine relationships, and hands-on approach to every project.

Job Responsibility:

Work across a diverse range of subdivision and civil engineering design projects - from urban infill to large-scale subdivisions
Work spans UAV capture, laser scanning and construction set out
Take ownership of projects end-to-end with the backing of a skilled, collaborative team
Preparing fee proposals
Leading design work
Liaising with clients, Councils, and LINZ
Mentoring junior staff
Contributing to engineering design solutions
Helping shape outcomes that make a mark on our region

Requirements:

A relevant qualification in Surveying or Land Development Engineering
Around seven years’ post-qualification experience
Sound knowledge of New Zealand codes and standards
Proficiency with 12d Model, CAD software and contemporary surveying technologies such as UAV and laser scanning
The ability to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders at all levels
A proactive, practical mindset and the confidence to deliver work independently
