Surveyor helper

• Help gather and research previous survey evidence, drawings, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys
• may assist in keeping field notes and performing sketches as necessary to describe and certify work performed
• set up survey instruments, backsights, etc.
• learn how to perform the duties of a surveyor for the company and strive to be a stand-alone surveyor

• Should possess good math skills
• understand how to read a standard tape measure
• have an understanding of basic hand tools (wrench, hammer, level, etc.)
• must be willing to travel
• must provide hand tools as required for the job
• must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently
• possess the ability to work at heights if required
• be able to work in extreme environments
• be able to adapt to different situations as required
• excellent vision or correctable vision
• requires a large amount of walking on the job site
• the ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required
• must show the capacity to proactively initiate, effectively lead, and consistently uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards

Any technical training such as computers, machinist, and/or industrial technology
