Surveyor – Disrepair, Damp & Mould

• Lead on the identification, diagnosis, and resolution of damp, mould, and disrepair issues in residential properties
• Conduct detailed inspections, using diagnostic tools to assess moisture levels, ventilation, and structural integrity
• Prepare comprehensive specifications for remedial works
• Manage projects from inception to completion
• Oversee contractors, ensuring compliance, and maintaining quality
• Contract administration, including reviewing technical documentation and certifying valuations
• Engage directly with residents to explain findings, proposed interventions, and expected outcomes
• Ensure regulatory compliance
• Maintain accurate records
• Contribute to strategic planning by analysing asset data to inform long-term maintenance programmes

• Degree or HNC/HND in Building Surveying or a related discipline
• Ideally hold membership with RICS or CIOB
• Experience in diagnosing and managing damp, mould, and disrepair within social housing settings
• Strong grasp of building pathology and effective remedial techniques
• Confident managing multiple projects and stakeholders
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency in housing management and asset systems
