BTG Eddisons is expanding its Lease Reform department and is seeking an experienced professional to support and lead work on lease extensions and enfranchisement matters. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in leasehold reform. You will work on a wide range of cases involving the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 (LRHUDA 1993). Most of the work is completed on a desktop basis, making this role well suited to someone who prefers a position with minimal travel, wants flexibility in working location, and enjoys detailed casework and structured analysis.
Job Responsibility:
Reviewing and quality-checking work produced by less experienced team members
Handling more complex or sensitive cases from initial assessment through to settlement
Leading negotiations to secure fair and reasonable outcomes for clients
Preparing Expert Witness reports for First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) cases, with hearing attendance depending on experience and preference
Acting as a point of technical support within the team, helping maintain high standards and consistent case handling
Requirements:
Strong background in leasehold reform
Experience in paralegal, property law, leasehold administration, or valuation-related position
Understanding of the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 (LRHUDA 1993)
Understanding of valuation principles and negotiation process involved in statutory lease extensions and enfranchisement
Experience handling complex or sensitive cases
Experience leading negotiations
Experience preparing Expert Witness reports for First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) cases is beneficial
Ability to act as a point of technical support
