Our ideal team member has technical capabilities which include a strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Survey Related Office software. Job Responsibility

  • Creates or helps to create topographic surveys. Researches, reads and plot deeds
  • Prepares parcel maps and Land Title survey maps
  • Learn to write metes and bounds descriptions based on the Surveyors final boundary solution
  • Prepares final topographic and boundary surveys
  • Perform site visits of jobs when needed and may accompany survey crew to locate and collect data required
  • Assists in the analysis and preparation of reports, maps, drawings, and aerial photographs
  • Learns to read and understand civil, architectural and structural plans and prepare construction staking based on these plans
  • Prepares and organizes field data to use in the preparation of final drawings
  • Prepares preliminary construction, topographic and boundary surveys for review and further direction by the RPLS or Project Manager

Requirements

  • Experience in using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Basic records research experience
  • Working knowledge of GPS Data acquisition and processing
  • Candidates should possess excellent oral and written communication skills along with a strong mathematical aptitude
  • Ability to draft Legal Descriptions
  • Understand design layouts, boundary and topographic surveys and construction staking
  • Understand surveying terminology and can operate surveying equipment including total stations, transit and levels
  • Candidate must be self-motivated
  • Independent worker and ability to work within a diversified project team of professionals

Nice to have

Surveyor in Training (SIT) certification a plus (not required)
