Job Responsibility:

  • Work outdoors using electromagnetic equipment and ground penetrating radar to detect subsurface utilities
  • Perform vacuum truck operation
  • Perform utility mark out and surveying activities
  • Document work with sketches, photos, spreadsheets and/or written reports
  • Perform work under limited supervision
  • Assist with the marketing of the firm’s capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing clients
  • Proficient operation and extensive knowledge of vacuum truck and related equipment
  • Proficient operation and extensive knowledge of multi-frequency electromagnetic equipment including electromagnetic induction (EMI) and ground penetrating radar (GPR)
  • Perform SUE survey field work
  • Prepare daily paperwork
  • Train SUE Technicians I and II
  • Use and interpret design plans and record drawings
  • Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to start and complete projects with limited supervision
  • Interact professionally with clients

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Commensurate relevant experience considered
  • Extensive knowledge of all phases of SUE field operations
  • Five or more (5+) years as SUE Technician I/II or related experience
  • Highly skilled in field operations
  • Basic knowledge of land surveying
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
