Job Responsibility:
Work outdoors using electromagnetic equipment and ground penetrating radar to detect subsurface utilities
Perform vacuum truck operation
Perform utility mark out and surveying activities
Document work with sketches, photos, spreadsheets and/or written reports
Locate underground utilities through nondestructive methods
Operate Data Collectors and collect field measurements
Record and document the underground utility field data accurately
Train to operate and maintain company equipment and vehicles
Train to meet company safety standards
Assist in operation of vacuum truck and related equipment such as compressor blower, vacuum hose and air lance, jackhammer, pogo-tamper, concrete saw, hand tools, etc
Assist in identification of underground utilities with electromagnetic equipment including electromagnetic induction (EMI) and ground penetrating radar (GPR)
Assist in the surveying of all SUE work
Assist in implementation of traffic control procedures
Drive company vehicles
Actively work towards obtaining skills required to advance to SUE Technician II position
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED strongly preferred. Commensurate relevant experience considered
Ability/willingness to travel for work assignments, including occasional overnight assignments
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and random thereafter
Ability to work outside in all seasons and conditions
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
