Purpose: Introduction to administrative, technical, and management techniques to ensure the successful and timely completion of multiple surveying projects.

Job Responsibility

  • Aid in communication with clients, contractors, field personnel, engineering and planning staff on survey matters
  • Assist in preparation of all types of survey plats and base maps including title, boundary, topographic, and ALTA surveys
  • Help prepare and check computations for construction stakeout and prepare cut-sheets
  • Prepare corrections for submitted maps, plans, and legal descriptions
  • Perform research for land surveying deliverables
  • Maintain survey related records, notes, maps, and other pertinent documents
  • Monitor progress toward deliverable schedules and report project status
  • Write descriptions of property boundary surveys for use in deeds, leases or other legal documents
  • Assist in equipment maintenance, including robotic total stations, global positioning systems, data collection devices, and point processing software
  • Assist survey crew with various field land surveying activities, including monument reconnaissance, monument preservation, monument resets, construction staking, topographic surveying, etc.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent commensurate experience required
  • Enrolled in a college degree program pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or related field, and/or associate's degree or certification program in Land Surveying
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • At least one (1) year of practical work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Conducting Installations: Install and configure POS hardware, including workstations, printers, pin pads, cash drawers, switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Complete cabling, patching, and connectivity setup
  • Deliver onsite training and live support for staff and management
  • Implement menu/system updates and reporting configuration
  • Conduct pre- and post-installation tasks, site readiness checks, and troubleshooting
  • Lead follow-ups with clients to ensure smooth transitions and adoption
  • Travel regularly to client sites as required
