Purpose: Introduction to administrative, technical, and management techniques to ensure the successful and timely completion of multiple surveying projects.
Job Responsibility
Aid in communication with clients, contractors, field personnel, engineering and planning staff on survey matters
Assist in preparation of all types of survey plats and base maps including title, boundary, topographic, and ALTA surveys
Help prepare and check computations for construction stakeout and prepare cut-sheets
Prepare corrections for submitted maps, plans, and legal descriptions
Perform research for land surveying deliverables
Maintain survey related records, notes, maps, and other pertinent documents
Monitor progress toward deliverable schedules and report project status
Write descriptions of property boundary surveys for use in deeds, leases or other legal documents
Assist in equipment maintenance, including robotic total stations, global positioning systems, data collection devices, and point processing software
Assist survey crew with various field land surveying activities, including monument reconnaissance, monument preservation, monument resets, construction staking, topographic surveying, etc.
Requirements
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent commensurate experience required
Enrolled in a college degree program pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or related field, and/or associate's degree or certification program in Land Surveying
Must be at least 18 years old
At least one (1) year of practical work experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
