As our Surgical Tech, you'll be an integral surgical team member, providing skilled assistance for safe, efficient procedures critical to patient outcomes.Every day you will prepare the OR (instruments, equipment, supplies) and assist surgeons/nurses by anticipating needs, passing instruments, and maintaining the sterile field. You'll count items, handle specimens, assist with patient positioning, and adhere strictly to aseptic technique.To be successful, you will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong sterile technique knowledge, and the ability to anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and a steadfast commitment to patient safety are essential.
Job Responsibility:

Requirements:
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
Current registration with the State of Washington as a Surgical Technician
Current healthcare provider BLS Certification
A high school diploma or GED
Ability to take night and/or weekend call
A working knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and working knowledge of pharmacology and medical terminology
Understanding of instrumentation and equipment, and skill in establishing and maintaining a sterile field and in draping a patient
Excellent communication skills a must
Ability to act as a member of the team and to anticipate the needs of a surgeon and patient
Must be able to operate effectively in emergency and stressful situations
Ability to independently lift up to 20 pounds, grasping and manual dexterity required to hand and/or finger items frequently (sometimes continuously)
Must be able to maintain a retracted position for up to one (1) hour
Clear visual and auditory acuity with or without accommodation required to perform the essential functions of the job
Extensive walking, sitting, standing, lifting, stretching, and bending required (the staff member is expected to use, demonstrate, and teach good body mechanics)
Ability to move equipment using a wheeled cart
Nice to have:
Minimum of six (6) months operating room work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities
