Job Description:

As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in bringing smiles, hope, and expert support to children undergoing surgery. If you thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting and have a passion for pediatric care, this is your chance to make a real difference one procedure at a time.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare for surgical procedures and assist with room turnover by arranging sterile setup of instruments, sponges, sutures, and other supplies required for specific surgical procedures according to surgeon preferences
  • Consult with the physician before the case to ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are ready
  • Assist with sponge and needle counts before, during, and after closing
  • Keep current with technical advancements and professional trends within the operating room setting

Requirements:

  • Must have completed a Surgical Technician program
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required
  • Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact effectively with interdisciplinary health team members and consumers
