Job Responsibility:

  • Set up, maintain, and monitor sterile fields with the highest standards
  • Anticipate surgeon's needs and pass instruments efficiently
  • Collaborate with RNs on counts and ensure medication safety
  • Actively participate in the Time-out process
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant operating room environment

Requirements:

  • Associate degree from an approved school of Surgical Technology preferred
  • Must be registered on the North Dakota Board of Nursing Unlicensed Assistive Persons (UAP) Registry prior to start date
  • Must be a Certified Surgical Technician or gain your CST within 90 days of employment
  • No previous experience required, other than clinical lab with schooling
  • Ability to organize assignments and work under pressure
  • Basic Life Support Certification within 480 hours of employment and meets re-certification as required
