Job Responsibility:
Facilitating the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures
Ensuring the operating room environment is safe and that all equipment functions accurately
Improving patient safety by implementing sterile and aseptic techniques
Combining knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and the use of tools and technologies to support therapeutic and diagnostic procedures
Potential to service as a lead surgical technologist responsible for a service line, if required
Requirements:
High School Diploma (Minimum)
Completion of accredited surgical technologist program (minimum)
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
Advanced experience in either cardiac, neurosurgery, orthopedics, or general surgical procedures (Minimum)
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Providers (AHA) (Minimum)
National Certification of Surgical Technology (Minimum)
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team to efficiently implement surgical procedures
Strong determination to achieve detailed execution in a fast-paced environment
Dedication to maintaining a rigorously safe and sterile operating environment
Nice to have:
Experienced ST preferred pediatric experienced to work Night shifts
Preferred 4 years of experience in a similar role
Prior experience caring for patients in a pediatric trauma facility (Preferred)
