Job Description:

Position will require floating within the Wake Region: Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (Winston-Salem, NC), Davie Medical Center (Bermuda Run, NC), Wilkes Medical Center (North Wilkesboro, NC) High Point Medical Center (High Point, NC) Lexington Medical Center (Lexington, NC). Schedule Details/Additional Information: Day Shift - 3 x 12 or 4 x 10 scheduling option; No call requirements; 2 weekend shifts per 8 week schedule; 2 Monday’s & 2 Friday’s per an 8-week schedule; 1 major winter holiday & 2 minor holidays per calendar year.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensures quality patient care, safety, and advocacy through critical thinking, anticipation and management of case specific needs, under direct supervision of the RN
  • Ensures complete, accurate and timely care, cleanliness and management of instruments, equipment and supplies
  • Communicates to the team, co-workers and patients in an effective, positive and professional manner
  • Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance, professional growth and development
  • Demonstrates cost containment activities of instruments and inventory

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program or Accredited school of nursing
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • 3 years of experience strongly preferred
