Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program ARC~STSA(CAAHEP~ Commision on Accredidation of Allied Health Education Programs)
  • Ability to work well with internal and external customers
  • Fine motor skills
  • Ability to wear a surgical mask and gloves
  • Auditory skills which allow incumbent to hear individuals whose speech may be muffled
  • CPR certified
  • Certified Surgical Technologist certification from the NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and in difficult situations
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and day of the week including holidays and take call as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with established time constraints
  • Ability to communicate with mask on and not facing others
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance

Nice to have

This position will need to recognize the needs and behaviors of a variety of age groups of patients treated i.e. understand child growth and development normal patterns of adolescent behavior and look for signs of normal aging prior experience with various age groups is preferred
