These ST position will be 12-hour shifts days.
Job Responsibility:
In combination with a surgical nurse, performs a wide range of duties utilizing specialized knowledge acquired through formal training
Supports surgical areas
Verification of specialty equipment and inventory
Contacting surgeons concerning equipment and supply needs for complex cases
Communicating with related buyers and vendors and other staff concerning their service
Contacting surgical supply companies and their vendors about malfunctioning or broken equipment
Providing education/training to new staff
Support Same Day Surgery Operating Rooms, Main Operating Room, Night Call, Wknds and Holidays in conjunction will all other surgical techs in unit
Requirements:
Completion of Accredited Surgical Technologist institution or specialized program
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date
A minimum of one (1) year of Surgical Technician experience
Proven knowledge of maintaining a therapeutic environment for patients undergoing surgical procedures
Demonstrated knowledge of surgical instrumentation used in various surgical procedures
Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position
Minimum 1 work-shift per week
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs
Must float to Main OR and take call as needed
Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical
Nice to have:
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Two (2) years of Surgical Technician scrub experience including Robot, Sports Med, Urology, Total Joints, and Complex GYN
Outpatient experience
